BASIC FUNCTION
Perform all facets of Commercial lending including making outside sales calls through the use of new business development tools, to achieve portfolio loan and deposit goals. Develop and manage loan accounts which meet established lending requirements and provide maximum profitability to the bank with minimum risk. Carry out public relations and participate in local events and organizations to represent the bank and develop new business contacts.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for having knowledge of bank services and cross selling products based on the customer’s financial needs.
Responsible for establishing customer relationships to assure the ongoing growth of loans and deposits.
Assist in closing loans.
Interview loan applicants, collect and analyze financial and related data to determine the general credit worthiness of the prospect and the merits of the specific loan request.
Establish and negotiate where necessary the terms under which the credit will be extended, including the costs, repayment method and schedule and collateral requirements.
Collect and analyze information that reflects the creditworthiness of current customers and the current merits of existing loans. Information may be obtained by direct inspection of the applicant’s business and/or collateral, review of interim financial reports and personal interview.
Monitor loan repayment activities and take necessary action to collect from past due accounts.
Develop material for, and make loan presentations to the Senior Loan Committee where required.
Check loan documentation and computations of loan support documentation.
Monitor credit and collateral exceptions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Two years experience in commercial lending, credit risk assessment or proven ability to acquire and manage deposit and lending relationships
Knowledge of commercial lending underwriting, credit risk assessment and regulatory requirements
Proven ability to build lasting client relationships and contribute to growing the organization
Good analytical, communication and negotiations skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Three years experience in acquiring new deposit and lending relationships in the local market
Screen and structure loan requests that meet the bank’s underwriting criteria
Prepare detailed loan presentations covering cash flow, collateral, debt service and borrower creditworthiness and character
Complete knowledge of deposit products with emphasis on Treasury products for commercial customers

The Personal Banker I will be crossed trained for both Customer Service Representative and Teller duties. This position will participate in the daily operations of the branch; including but not limited to, assisting customers with account management and other financial services needs and providing timely
and efficient completion of client transactions while maintaining accurate records and thorough handling of all monies assigned. This position will proactively participate in the sales/quality referral process of the branch as directed by management.

BASIC FUNCTION
Assist customers by cashing checks, receiving deposits, and processing other transactions as authorized. Refer questionable transactions to head teller. Balance all transactions processed each business day and provide for the security of assigned cash. Assist customers in any way possible to improve customer relations.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Maintain a pleasant attitude towards customers; greet all customers with a smile and appropriate vocal greeting. Thank the customer when transaction is completed.
2. Receive deposits and cash checks/withdrawals; verifying endorsements and customer balances on any checks larger than the amount specified in the check cashing policy; determines whether immediate credit should be given on the deposit or if an officer’s approval is necessary.
3. Maintain currency and coin supply as prescribed by bank policy; be familiar with all security equipment and safety procedures.
4. Verify currency; wrap and bag coin; mix new currency; and work up mutilated money.
5. Complete a Currency Transaction Report (CTR) for each deposit, withdrawal, exchange of currency, or purchase of cashier’s check which involves currency of $10,000.00 or more.
6. Refer special transactions to supervisor for approval, such as exchanging or depositing large amounts of currency, processing large withdrawals, cashing checks that are not covered under the check cashing policy.
7. Balance daily work by reconciling opening cash balance, cash received, cash disbursed, and closing cash balance.
8. Sell Money Order, Cashier Checks, and Travelers Checks.
9. Make credit card cash advances for customers.
10. Sell and redeems U.S. Savings Bonds (Refer Series HH savings bonds to ABM), accept loan payments and Federal Tax Deposits.
11. Verify night depository bags and envelopes and maintain accurate transaction logs on these items, as assigned.
12. Verify mail deposits and prepare documentation for mailing back to customer, as assigned.
13. Stay abreast of, and promote the bank’s services and cross-sell bank products. Make concentrated effort to solve customer problems.
14. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of existing policies and procedures necessary for performing teller duties, by attending training sessions as they are scheduled.
15. Assist other personnel in completion of end-of-day duties.
16. Perform all other duties as directed by Assistant Operations Manager.
• Monitor amount of account analysis logging done by tellers in comparison to cash flow from vault to determine accuracy. Make sure logs are submitted to
bookkeeping on a weekly basis.
• Print closed account report weekly. Pull closed signature cards and place in designated area.
• Print new account report daily. Send thank you cards to new customers using standard wording.
• Sort all “hold” mail statements and place in secure area.
• Fill out transmittal for cashier checks and send paperwork to bookkeeping at end of each day.
• Close money order machine and send paperwork to bookkeeping at the end of each day.
• Balance TT&L and fill out transmittal – send totals to bookkeeping at the end of each day.
