    1967

    ValueBank Texas originated as Texas State Bank (Chartered in 1966).

  • A new building is constructed on Leopard Street in Corpus Christi.

    1972

    A new building is constructed on Leopard Street in Corpus Christi, which is still used today.

  • Coastal National Bank

    First National Bank of Ingleside

    1972-1982

    Four independent banks from surrounding communities became affiliates of the International Bank of Corpus Christi.

  • Texas State Bank changed its name to the International Bank of Corpus Christi.

    Texas State Bank changed its name to the International Bank of Corpus Christi to better reflect the potential growth of the port connected business.

  • A six-story office building was added on to the bank building.

    1982

    A six-story office building was added on to the bank building. Today it serves a diversity of tenants, as well as the bank’s executive offices.

  • The International Bank
    1991 the Texas Department of Banking approved the merger of five separate chartered banks

    1991

    The Texas Legislature passed a new intrastate banking law, which allowed branch banking in Texas. In May 8, 1991 the Texas Department of Banking approved the merger of five separate chartered banks into four branches of The International Bank of Corpus Christi under the new name, The International Bank.

  • We changed our name to ValueBank Texas

    1998

    We changed our name to ValueBank Texas to better reflect our identity within the communities we serve.

  • ValueBank Texas built branches in Rockport and another in the Midtown area of Corpus Christi.

    1999

    ValueBank Texas built a branch in the Midtown area of Corpus Christi.

  • Harlan Heitkamp remained CEO/Chairman of the Board.

    2000

    Scott Heitkamp became President of ValueBank Texas and Harlan Heitkamp remained CEO/Chairman of the Board.

  • Scott Heitkamp became the CEO of ValueBank Texas.

    Scott Heitkamp became the CEO of ValueBank Texas. Harlan Heitkamp retained his title as Chairman of the Board.

  • 2010

    A new branch location in Richmond/Katy area was purchased.

  • 2020

    Value Bank Texas welcomed Horseshoe Bay to our family of branches.
